The Heart of Who We Are:
The Bible: Everything we do at The Lighthouse will be centered on the Word of God. We believe the Bible to be infallible, inerrant truth.
Small Groups: In order to effectively reach the unreached of Greater Tuscaloosa, and to minister to those who attend, our attendees will be encouraged to enter into Biblical community through numerous, diverse Small Groups. Here, the elements of fellowship, care giving, service, and accountability will be demonstrated.
Ministry Teams: We will look for ways to develop and enrich the spiritual lives of all who attend, expecting each person to be actively involved in both service and training. Children, Youth, College, Men, and Women will have opportunities to learn and grow.
Transformation: The goal of our ministry is to transform people into fully devoted followers of Christ.
Prayer: No great spiritual awakening has ever taken place without heartfelt, earnest prayer. At The Lighthouse, we will make prayer a priority!
Evangelism: As a core value, The Lighthouse will seek to introduce lost people to Jesus Christ by all relevant means possible.
Missions: We believe that a healthy church is one that looks outside of itself, taking the message of Jesus Christ around the world. This will be done through numerous short-term mission opportunities and the promotion of long-term ones. We will contribute to the Cooperative Program of the Southern Baptist Convention.
Contemporary Worship: Our music style will be contemporary with today’s culture, and our worship will reflect our passion for God.
Casual Dress: We encourage casual dress in worship, in order that ALL people may participate freely.
Excellence: Everything we do for Christ must be done with excellence.
